Class Policies

Monthly Class Rate: $24.00/Class

Drop In Rate: $29.00/Class

(Drop in students are unable to participate in recital and cannot always be guaranteed a spot in the class of their choice)

Payment Policy

Students will pay monthly tuition, which amount will vary depending on the amount of classes that month, and is due by the first class of each month. 

While student may elect to pay via Venmo, Zelle, Check or Cash, we reserve the right to keep a credit card on file for each currently enrolled student. This credit card may or may not be placed on monthly auto charge, depending on student’s preference. 

While we will only be auto charging credit cards with the express permission from the individual clients, if payment is overdue over 12 hours after the first class of the month, whether or not the student was present for this class, Michelle Dance Academy has the right to charge the full monthly tuition amount to the card on file.

Exceptions to the above will be made if student gives notice of an absence at least 24 hours before the first class of the month. In this circumstance, payment may be calculated accordingly, or prorated. We are only obligated to prorate up to 2 classes per month for each child, given the proper notice is given. For months with 3 classes, up to 1 class can be prorated. For months with 2 classes or less, tuition cannot be prorated for planned missed classes. 

As soon as a student signs up, they are considered to have a membership with us. If student wishes to cancel their membership, they must give at least one week’s notice of cancellation, before the first class of the month. If less than one week’s notice is given, a $50.00 charge will be placed on the credit card on file. If more than one week notice is given, there will be no cancellation charge. No exceptions. 

If student wishes to cancel membership mid month, no refunds will be given. 

Absent Policy

If a student has already paid monthly tuition & needs to miss a class, they qualify for a makeup class. Makeup classes will expire at the end of each semester. See above payment policy for more details on payment & absences. 

Dress Code

  • Ballet Classes

    • Pink Ballet Shoes​

    • Pink Ballet Tights

    • Leotard with optional skirt (Pre Professional classes will be administered a uniform leotard).

    • Girls' should be in a neat ballet bun.

    • Black tap shoes must be worn if tap is included in class description. 

  • Hip Hop Classes

    • Students may wear anything they can move freely in. ​

    • Girls' hair should be up & out of face.

    • Hip hop specific shoes should be worn (Plain black sneakers that are reserved only for the studio. Please no street shoes). 

  • Jazz Classes

    • Tan Jazz Shoes​

    • Black leotard or Fitted Black Shirt

    • Black Tights or Plain Black Leggings
